Exclusive Memory Chapter 5 Part 5

Twenty minutes later, the familiar CR-V stopped in front of me. I saw a long-lost face. He got out of the car, closed the door, and walked towards me, almost unreal.

He and I didn't go anywhere, just wandered the street and unknowingly walked to the river. We found a sidewalk chair and sat down. In front of the chair is the sidewalk, and further ahead is the wooden railing by the river, and outside the railing is the wide river surface.

The river flows quietly to the east, and the brightest lights of the city are reflected on the water.

"Is it cold?" he asked.

"Not cold." I shook my head. At least it's cold outside but warm inside.

On such a lonely and special night, there was actually him by my side.

I am neither noble nor high-spirited, and I do not have strong self-esteem, so I am willing to accept Mu Chenghe's appearance, whether sympathy or pity.

Even if it is an illusion, I don't care.

The corners of his mouth raised a small arc, he took out a bottle of wine from his coat, and shook it in front of my eyes, "New Year's gift, the vodka that some people dream of."

I whistled happily.

This New Year's gift, I like it.

"You really invited me to drink." I laughed happily.

"Of course, I always mean what I say."

Then, like a magic trick, he took out a small straight glass, unscrewed the cap, and poured two-thirds of the glass.

He said: "A friend once told me that the purest way to drink vodka is to use this kind of cup, add ice cubes, add nothing, and then swallow it in one gulp."

I mouthed and looked at him with a wistful look.

He put the cup under his nose and sniffed before handing it to me.

I took it, did as he had just described, raised my head and swallowed. Suddenly, I felt a very pure, cold taste lingering on my tongue, and then a hot burning suddenly broke through this layer of coolness, spreading from the esophagus all the way into my stomach, and then the alcohol rushed to my nose, forcing my tears out.

I wrinkled my face, covered my nose with my hands, took a deep breath, and suddenly felt my atrium expand violently, which was very refreshing.

The blood in the limbs warmed up.

"Ah! It's really enjoyable!" I shouted, "Come again."

Mu Chenghe put the cup back, "No. If you're drunk, I won't be able to eat and walk around."

I frowned, "A little more."

Holding the bottle, he shook his head.

I begged cheekily, "Just a little bit." Then I made a slight height comparison between my index finger and thumb.

He laughed: "The entanglement of ice and fire? ”

I nodded, "You really haven't drunk it?"

"Yeah. The highest concentration of alcohol I've ever had is beer."

"It can't be." It turns out that geniuses also have rookie times.

"How about..." he said, "I try?"

"Okay, just have a drink with me, two people are more interesting. " I encouraged him.

Mu Chenghe poured some wine. That was literally a little bit of the real deal, almost just a thin layer of liquid on the bottom of the glass.

He looked at it sideways, and then at me again.

"I really drank it." The expression was very similar to that of a child who did bad things behind the back of an adult.

"En." I shook my head.

After he swallowed quietly with his eyes closed, his originally peaceful eyebrows suddenly folded, and then he broke out a violent cough that pierced the night sky.

I patted his back anxiously.

After a while, he calmed down, and then spit out a very childish sentence.

"It's really hard to drink."

After a while, the alcohol took effect in his body, and a faint pink appeared on his cheeks. Against such a backdrop, the pair of brown eyes looked even more radiant and picturesque.
